Thanks for Everything!

LeavesThank you! I’m so full of gratitude. Words cannot express. But I’ll try otherwise this blog would be very short.

Every few years, the calendars align and I get to celebrate my birthday on one of the most important days of the year. Thanksgiving.

It’s a weekend full of family, friends and filling fests. I’m heading off shortly for my third family dinner in a row – the joys of having so many important people in my life.

I’m so grateful for those people that have stuck by me over the years. Those people that allowed me to be vulnerable and didn’t see that as weakness, but more of a strength. That a supported me in through my challenges and celebrated all my victories. I’m grateful for those that have inspired me along the way. Helping me dream bigger dreams and reach further than I might have on my own. Guiding me. Pushing me. And sometime pulling me forward, even when my heels are firmly planted in the ground.

It sounds so cliché but without them life would lack direction and meaning. It’s true.

What I know for sure, it that I am here to be the best I can be and give my gifts to the world in the most meaningful way possible. Let know man (or woman) stand in the way of that. Even though, some days that woman is ME.

My list of gratitude is endless. But here are a few things that I’m grateful for today:

  1. I’m grateful for forgiveness and my ability to forgive others, as well as myself.
  2. I’m grateful for my family – the ever expanding and morphing mix of personality.
  3. I’m grateful for my parents who continue to teach me about patience, acceptance and commitment.
  4. I’m grateful for my son who brings endless joy to my life and reminds me to stay true to myself.
  5. I’m grateful for my friend, Rada, who has stuck by me and loves me enough to say what’s on her mind.
  6. I’m grateful for my health – even though some days that I really test its fortitude.
  7. I’m grateful to live in Canada, a country where I’m free to express myself and be independent.
  8. I’m grateful for the beauty of nature and the opportunity to walk and breath it’s essence.
  9. I’m grateful for the universal energy, higher spirit, God or whatever you want to call it for being.
  10. I’m grateful for my home and the opportunity to keep life simple even when it’s so tempting to make it complex.

Last but not least, I want to thank all of you who receive my messages. I’m grateful that you stay open to a thought, a feeling or an expression of my work in the world.

I’m here to continue my service to those that need it. I look forward to hearing what you have to say. Please post a comment below or join me on Facebook or Twitter.

Gratitude is … not give energy to what you don’t have. But being thankful for what you DO have.

Wishing you all the blessings that Thanksgiving Day can bring.
